Burglary Years Demo 2012

fuckyeaheffectspedals:

John sent me this pictures of the boards the band he’s joining as the third (fun) guitarist are using. The band is Burglary Years. An indie/dream pop band from Boston.

Starting at the top is Zack Weeks’ board. He’s the bassist and always plays in the band Cerce. Awesome hardcore band from Boston. Tuner > Fuzz > SFT Clone > Bass Overdrive > CE-5 and then I don’t know what that Delay pedal is doing. It think it’s confused.

The next board is John Snyder’s. He also plays guitar in Native Wildlife a post-hardcore band from the area I really, really love. Tuner > HM-2 > Ernie Ball Jr > Box of Rock > DMM > El Capistan > WET Reverb.

Following that is Zac Suskevich’s board who also plays in Cerce. Interesting board. He runs a super gnarly Science amplifier, I assume he’s using it with these guys as well. Looks like Tuner > DL4 > OCD > Super Octave > Holy Grail Nano with a channel switcher footswitch. Beautiful Ric, too.

Last in line is Cooper Leardi’s board. Lookin’ like a Tuner > OCD > Hoof Fuzz > Ibanez CS9 > Some black thing > Tremolo > Zcat Big Reverb

Pretty cool boards. Cool dudes. I was in Boston last May and I think I might have been at one of their first shows. It was dope. Little different line up now. Stoked to see what they do.

Here are some links for you.

Cerce Facebook and Bandcamp

Native Wildlife Facebook and Bandcamp

Both Native Wildlife and Cerce have new songs up on a compilation that was just released by Heads UP Records. It’s pretty gnarly stuff so check that out and remember to support local music and your scene.

Awesome music coming from that area out there. Pretty exciting seeing these bands grow.

Hi John, tehe.

For the past couple of days, Burglary Years has been tracking for our first full length record. We are recording with our good friend and even better engineer Alex to 24 track 2” tape with no digital gear in the chain. As anyone who knows me is aware; Burglary Years is my baby and dream-band. I’m very happy to finally hear these songs properly recorded with full instrumentation (though I play drums, bass, and guitar on these tracks because of the way uh things worked out).

The LP will be put out by the great Mayfly Records sometime this summer, ideally. I can’t wait to show this to people and it’s not even mixed yet.

Totally forgot about this picture. This was taken at Bates College in Maine after we played with Young Prisms.
